Kiteboarding Lessons and Services

PROKITE offers personalized kiteboarding, foiling, and wing lessons for all levels and styles of riders. Whether you are just learning to ride or taking it to the next level with jumping, tricks, or trying new toys like surfboards, hydrofoils, and wings, PROKITE lessons will give you the support you need to progress. Our lessons are taught by IKO-certified instructors using waverunner support and radio helmet communication to help you get the most out of your time on the water.

Our services include:

Private Lessons

1 on 1 kiteboarding lessons with a coach.

Private Group Lessons

Private, multi-person kiteboarding lessons with your friends and family (Prokite does not organize group lessons for strangers). 

Land Based Lessons

Billed at a lower rate than regular riding lessons and include the following which do not involve waverunner support:

• • • Intro to Kiteboarding – Introductory kiteboarding lessons for beginners
    • Kids Lessons 
    • Dirt surfing with the buggy or mountain boards
    • Land based sessions for advanced kiters looking to improve their kite flying or to practice a specific kite handling skill. 

Pro Clinics

A great way for advanced riders to take kite control, riding, or equipment performance to the next level.

Foiling lessons

Wind or no wind, kite or no kite, we can get you started with the foil. Lessons highly recommended for this rewarding yet challenging activity that has many applications in the domains of kiting, winging, and surf riding. 

Wing lessons

The wing is a fun and versatile new tool in the world of wind sports. We’re excited to help you improve your technique or introduce you to winging for the first time. Take a wing lesson to learn the basics, improve board starts or learn how to execute smooth turns.

Light / No-Wind Day Activities

There are so many ways to enjoy South Padre Island on the lighter days, whether you wish to refine some skills, learn new ones, or just enjoy yourself. Some alternative activities that we offer include:

    • Wakeboarding
    • Tow twin-tip or surfboard riding practice
    • Waverunner sightseeing bay tours
    • Advance kite handling skills (Land-based)
    • Dirt surfing with the buggy or mountain boards

No matter the conditions, SPI has so much to offer- we are always available to help you choose from SPI’s countless activities and guide you toward the must-sees in our little slice of paradise.

Rentals

A great way to try out new gear and avoid lugging your own gear from home (Reserved for experienced kiters who are proficient at staying upwind in all conditions.)
