Brett’s passion and dedication has made Prokite the thriving center for kiteboarding in SPI that it is today.Brett's diligent kite instruction is highly sought-after. A general windsports enthusiast, Brett is also a windsurfer, paraglider, and Trans-Atlantic sailing pirate.

Chris Moly
Chirs Moly is a talented surfer turned kitesurfer and prone foiler who loves to share his skills and local knowledge. Born and raised locally, he is a natural teacher, former personal trainer and surfing instructor as well. You can count on Chris to keep you safe on the water, diagnose and fix anything mechanical, and add random cats to Prokite's instagram posts.

John Lee
Meet John Lee in the Prokite shop. Having grown up here in the Rio Grande Valley of South Texas he brings a wealth of South Padre experience and is quickly learning kiteboarding. Always cheerful John is happy to help with all your gear and equipment shopping, lesson booking, and questions and answers.

Tanner Rawlings
Tanner is a die hard strapless enthusiast and a born teacher. He began teaching martial arts as an assistant instructor at age 11, and at 17 he switched to teaching kiteboarding full time. Since then he’s taught in conditions around the globe, worked in many facets of the kite industry, and earned his private pilot’s license. When the wind’s pumping, you’ll see him throwing big airs and tricks on his strapless surfboard, or foiling on the lighter days.

Tim Bighley
Tim is a natural-born kiteboarding instructor due to his patience and enthusiasm for all things kiteboarding. He has been hooked on kiteboarding since his first lesson in 2016.Tim is always down for an adventure or a kite session, and his energy is contagious. Tim’s hobbies are many and include traveling, dancing Zouk, cooking, and accumulating excessive quantities of organic vegetables.

Sail Schechter
Sail is a veteran kite instructor with over nine years of coaching experience. He transitioned from windsurfing to kiteboarding as a teenager in La Ventana, Mexico and has been in love with the sport ever since.A talented and enthusiastic kiter, Sail describes himself as a “park rat.” His favorite type of riding is unhooked wake-style and he prefers to spend his sessions in flat water hitting park features. His favorite thing about teaching is getting a good tip!
